This week at the winery we've started the process of inoculation!

Now that our grapes have started to come into the winery, we need to start the fermentation process by adding yeast to our grape juice. This process is called inoculation. We will start by mixing the yeast with warm water to get it excited and activated. Once it gets nice and bubbly, we'll then add the yeast to our tanks. This will start the process of fermentation!

We're so excited to follow the grape juice through the many processes of winemaking.
