The White Road

Stretching from the foothills of the Kaikoura Ranges to undulating downs overlooking Cook Strait, Seaview Vineyard is the home of Yealands Wines.

It is one of the most dramatic and exciting vineyards in Marlborough; a folded landscape that creates micro climates of growing conditions that provide thrilling variety across our varietals. The White Road is our self-guided 40-minute tour, which begins at the cellar door and winds through the uniquely folded landscape of our coastal vineyard.

Head up towards the amazing Lookout Point, where on a clear day you can see across the Cook Strait to the North Island. The road then takes you down towards our largest wetland area Twin Lakes, here you can explore Butterfly Gully and see many of our biodiversity and sustainability initiatives in action. Be sure to keep an eye out for our chickens, miniature Babydoll sheep and Kunekune pigs close to the winery too.

You are welcome to walk, cycle or drive the White Road; there are plenty of scenic spots to enjoy a picnic along the way too.

My friend and I had an amazing wine tasting with Sally and Billy! They both made us feel welcome and were very generous to try to meet our needs. We laughed a lot and learned a lot about the various wines Yealands has to offer. Highly recommend visiting! Will definitely come back!

Thank you Billy for such an awesome and fun tasting! The wines were all delicious, and if I had more space in my luggage, way more would be coming home with us! Very much wish we'd gone a bit earlier so we could spend more time on the White Road Vineyard Tour - incredible views along the bit we had time to drive around.

This was at the top of my list to visit in New Zealand because of their delicious wines. The visit was well worth it, because we were really pampered! We tasted many delicious wines, learned a few things and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. 100% recommended to visit here!

This is the one of, if not the best experience we have ever had at a vineyard. The prices are amazing from $8-$10 per glass a platter won’t set you back much at all. But the service, smiles from amazing staff and the chance to drive around the vineyard (we did it with a bottle of wine 😜) these guys clearly know they have an amazing facility and wine but choose not to rob you to enjoy their facility. To say I’ll be back, of course. But I’ll make sure to support their wines even more so in the future.
