More information

Marlborough

Regional Blend

Select parcels of Pinot Gris were harvested from our Upper Wairau Valley Vineyard and our Seaview Vineyard in the Awatere Valley.

Purity & Balance

The blocks from our Upper Wairau Valley Vineyard and our Seaview Vineyard in the Awatere valley were selected for their purity of flavour and balance.

We allow a longer hang-time for this Pinot Gris which translates into wines with great concentration and texture.

We let the wine rest on lees for 2 months to enhance texture and body.

Winemaker's Notes

Cold Settled

The fruit was gently pressed then separated from the pressings and cold settled for 48 hours before being racked. Following a long, cool fermentation, the wine was kept on lees for a period of two months to enhance texture and body. Post fermentation the wine was stabilised and filtered prior to bottling.

Finely balanced for current drinking, this estate-grown wine is attractively scented and full-bodied, with strong, vibrant pear, lychee and spice flavours, showing clearcut varietal characteristics, and a dryish finish.- 2018 vintage
