It is gorgeously fruited and inviting on the nose showing dark cherry, plum, dried herb, cedar, and subtle olive characters. The palate is equally attractive with delightful fruit intensity and a juicy mouthfeel, backed by silky texture and fine-grained tannins. Wonderfully balanced and harmonious with a lengthy delectable finish. At its best: now to 2021.
Beautifully fruited and fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows dark cherry, strawberry tart, mixed spice and toasted almond characters. The palate delivers lovely fruit richness and mid palate weight, enhanced by silky texture and supple tannins. Balanced and harmonious, and offers plenty of juicy fruit flavours. Quite a complex bouquet with a mix of stony soils, wild flowers and crisp light red fruits centering on red cherry and cranberry, medium oak with some light brown spice suggestions. On the palate – dry, firm and crisp with medium+ acidity and youthful fruit tannins. Finer tannins from the oak add length to the finish. Youthful, balanced and well made.
