Situated on a north-facing plateau, 160m above sea level and 3.5km from the coast. The soil is wind-blown loess.

Average growing conditions

Warm, sheltered, inland.

Our S1 block is a sheltered, relatively warm site on our Seaview Vineyard. The subsequent style and flavours reflect this terroir.

Winemaker's Notes

Specialist Yeast

The juice was cold settled for 72 hours, after which the clear juice was racked off. A long, cool fermentation with a specialist Sauvignon Blanc yeast followed to capture and enhance the distinctive fruit flavours created by the S1 block.
